Governor McAuliffe Announces 15 New Jobs in Tazewell County

~Blue Wolf to invest $1.56 million to expand industrial cleaner manufacturing and supply operation ~

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Blue Wolf, a manufacturer and supplier of professional quality industrial strength cleaners for the wholesale and retail market, will invest $1.56 million to expand its operation in Tazewell County. The company will move to a larger facility and install new advanced packaging and manufacturing machines due to a strong increase in product demand for nationwide retailers. Virginia successfully competed against West Virginia for the project, which will create 15 new jobs.

RICHMOND – Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced five new Virginia Enterprise Zone (VEZ) designations for Tazewell County, the cities of Lynchburg and Hampton, and two joint zones for city of Martinsville and Henry County, as well as Mecklenburg and Brunswick counties.

Governor McAuliffe Announces Partnership with Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority

~ Program to assist coal & energy technology companies in Virginia coalfield region in expanding their international business ~

 

RICHMOND – Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today the Go Global with Coal & Energy Technology (GGCET) program, a collaboration of the Governor’s Office, the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority (VCEDA) and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) as a result of the Governor’s 2014 Energy Plan.

Speaking about today’s announcement at an event in Bluefield, Virginia, Governor McAuliffe said, “Finding innovative ways to help grow and expand existing Virginia businesses is a key component of my Administration’s efforts to build a new Virginia economy.  As part of my Energy Plan, I laid out a vision for developing a robust outreach program that facilitated access to international markets for coal supply chain companies based in Southwest Virginia.  GGCET gives these businesses in the Coalfield region an opportunity to export their expertise and products, helping them prosper and create jobs.”

~ Simmons Equipment Company to invest $1 million in expansion ~

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Simmons Equipment Company, a manufacturer of world-class battery-powered mining equipment, plans to invest $1 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Tazewell County. The project is projected to create more than 30 new jobs over the upcoming years

Governor McAuliffe Announces 25 New Jobs in Tazewell County

~ Tadano Mantis Corporation to invest $2.5 million in expansion~

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Tadano Mantis Corporation, a customized crane manufacturer, will invest $2.5 million to expand its manufacturing operation in the Town of Richlands in Tazewell County. Virginia successfully competed against Tennessee for the project, which will create 25 new jobs.
